On October 23 in the historical park “Russia – My History” Head of the Saratov City Municipal Structure M.A. Isayev met with the volunteers that have been participating in moderating different events in the region: the festival of historical reenactment “Ukek. One Day from the Life of a Mediaeval Town”, voting for the territory improvement within the high-priority project “Forming Comfortable Urban Environment”, City Day celebration, and helping in the city improvement.

‘I would like to express my gratitude to your commitment, personal involvement to our history, and participation in city events! The Volunteer Year is coming to its end, but we hope that the volunteer movement will develop in the city, and more and more people will become volunteers,’ addressed to the audience Head of Saratov.

Also he commented on the contributions of young activists. The event members could discuss with M.A. Isayev such topics as reconstruction of historical buildings, significant volunteer traits, future projects, and bonuses for volunteers.

‘Your enthusiasm should be evaluated,’ agreed Mikhail Aleksandrovich and added he would give orders to his staff to help implement new volunteer ideas.

A.V. Golovchenko thanked Head of the Saratov City Municipal Structure for his support of volunteer movement in the region and asked him about his volunteering.

‘Our volunteers have taken part in more than one hundred events throughout the year. It is amazing!’ marked M.A. Isayev.

He said about his volunteering experience: he helped veterans of the Great Patriotic War when he went to school.

One of the volunteers spoke about the issue of building sports grounds in the city. M.A. Isayev noted nowadays children and youth are encouraged to be interested in sports. Many sports grounds have been built in school territories and not only school students can use them but common citizens as well. Thus, there are the sports ground of School №39 and the abuilding sports complex of Gymnasium №5 that have been built with the help of Chairman of the State Duma V.V. Volodin.

At the end of the event activists and moderators of the volunteer movement were awarded with letters of appreciation of the administration of the Saratov City Municipal Structure. One of them became Chair of the SSU Undergraduate and Graduate Council Viktor Fyodorov. Besides, a letter of appreciation was given to A.V. Golovchenko who has coordinated the regional division of the Russian Student Brigades.
