On December 16, there was held an awarding ceremony of awarding the winners of the 2022 Student of the Year Russian National Award in Moscow. The Headquarters of SSU Student Brigades was recognised as the best in the Patriotic Group of the Year nomination among universities.

At the All-Russian full-time stage, the Headquarters was represented by its Commander Sergey Kulik, Commissar Ulyana Rizina, a methodology specialist Ksenia Belova, as well as the methodology specialist of the Divide student search brigade Elena Buivolova. CEO of the Search Movement of Russia, Yana Marushina, awarded the winners with a commemorative statuette and a diploma, presented the winners with wireless headphones and a gift certificate for 10 thousand rubles for a career consultation from the SuperJob IT service.

This year, the award included 33 nominations, bringing together students of professional educational organizations and higher education organizations, as well as special tracks.

Over the course of three days, participants demonstrated their skills in five competitive tests: presentation, master class, assessment of competencies, the Culture of the Peoples of Russia intellectual game, and design.

‘It was a difficult week for us: a lot of trials, experiences and a lot of emotions. The award gave us the opportunity to reveal ourselves, to show the work that we have been doing throughout the year. We got an insane pleasure from participating. And as a commander, it was doubly pleasant for me to realize how great it is when the team wins, and you are part of it! This competition and its results teach that you should not be afraid, you just need to try, and everything will definitely work out,’ said Sergei Kulik, the Commander of the Headquarters of the SSU student Brigades.

The organisers of the award are the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Ministry of Education, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Russia – the Land of Opportunities NPO, and the Russian Youth Union.

The Student of the Year Russian National Award is a federal competitive educational project of the Russian Youth Union. Its purpose is to identify and support students of educational organizations in Russia who have special achievements in professional activity, arts, sports, youth policy, student leadership, social activities, and volunteering.
