SSU Researchers Showed Their Developments to Minister of Health of the RF V.I. Skvortsova

On March 22 Minister of Health of the Russian Federation V.I. Skvortsova visited the display of the regional research developments in that sphere. The display was organised in the historical park “Russia – My History”. The minister was accompanied there by Governor of the Saratov Region, Chair of the SSU Board of Trustees V.V. Radayev.

The display consisted of medical equipment of Saratov enterprises and advanced developments of regional universities.

Saratov University presented innovative models of diagnosis and treatment of vision impairments and early theranostics of metastatic tumors, methodology and equipment to count melanin, non-invasive technologies to cure encephalomas, drug delivery technologies, products based on nonwoven superfine fiber fabric, medical and geographical research, and ecological and medical research.

SSU Rector, Professor A.N. Chumachenko and the university researchers spoke in details about their projects. The minister highly evaluated the scientific achievements in medicine of the university researchers and their projects.

Thus, Chair of the Department of Human and Animal Physiology O.V. Semyachkina-Glushkovskaya commented on the work of her research group.

‘Our developments are unique because they are non-invasive, therefore, they can be used in in-patient hospitals to cure brain tumors in particular. We are the only one who present there developments in the world, and famous research foundations from Russia, China, and the USA are interested in the research. We have received the first patent on non-invasive drug brain delivery in Russia.’

After that the historical park hosted the Meeting on Implementation of the National Health Project in the Volga Federal District. It was streamed online for chief medical officers, members of the staff of regional hospitals and clinics as well as specialists from other regions.
