On February 16-17, the Working Is Rewarding career forum was held in Moscow at the Russia International Exhibition-Forum.

The SSU delegation was led by Head of the regional branch of the RSB, a student of the Faculty of Economics Sergei Kulik, Commander of the staff of the SSU Student Brigades, a student of the Institute of History and International Relations Alexander Chizhov. In total, thirteen people from various SSU educational departments and student brigades went to the capital.

The event brought together schoolchildren, students, novice specialists, members, and veterans of the RSB from all regions of the country. The main topic of the event was to help young people build a route to a dream career together with the Russian Student Brigades.

The forum programme was divided into three main tracks – Junior, Student, and Pro. Lectures on building a professional trajectory, making CVs, as well as career consultations from leading top- managers of large Russian companies and HR-specialists, interviews with domestic companies were held for the participants.

Young people took part in the job fair, played the quiz of the platform Russia is a Country of Opportunities. The SSU students met with the Hero of Russia, cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov in the Cosmos pavilion. The astronaut spoke about his professional career – he has two space flights on his account, and now he is preparing for a new flight.

Alexander Chizhov, Head of the Staff of the SSU Student Brigades, a student of the Institute of History and International Relations, commented how the career forum helps RSB members find a job. ‘It was a great honour for us to visit the main exhibition of the country on the anniversary of the Russian Student Brigades. The youth labour market is actively developing now: We met with representatives of the largest companies from different industries, many of the members were able to determine their professional trajectory thanks to the forum. Helping students find employment is one of the most important tasks of the student brigades.’

The Working Is Rewarding career forum was held as part of the celebration of Russian Student Brigades Day. This year, the youth organisation has turned 65 years old.
