Multitasking Training Software

Students of the Faculty of Sociology within the framework of the federal program "Startup as a diploma" have developed the concept of an electronic educational platform for schools, which will facilitate the learning process for both schoolchildren and teachers.

With the advent of technology, the life of a modern person has been divided into two parts – online and offline. Shopping in stores, entertainment, doctor's appointments and education have partially moved to global networks. Today, you can find a large number of portals on the Internet where you can buy a training course and learn a new profession. Students of the Faculty of Sociology became interested in this trend and developed an educational platform for schools.

A group of students – Ivan Serbin, Anastasia Bondarenko and Artyom Kiriyenko chose an alternative form of final qualifying work by participating in the federal program "Startup as a diploma". The advantages of this program are that it gives you the opportunity to evaluate your entrepreneurial abilities and try to develop a trajectory for your business.

The startup project "Electronic educational platform for schools" is being created and improved under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology of Youth Julia Semenova.

The project is a website where school students, their parents and teachers can log in. Each user, depending on their status as a "student", "teacher" or "parent", will have access to a certain set of functions. For example, teachers will be able to give grades, publish didactic, educational materials, including tasks for preparing for the Unified State Exam.

According to the developers, a system of sections will be created on the site: with educational content; with news materials, where information notes and announcements of school events will be posted; a page with basic information about schools and their news feed. In addition, it is planned to create sections on the organization of distance education, services for testing in preparation for the Unified State Exam and grading.

The grading system is partially borrowed from the Diary platform.<url>", however, the developers have supplemented it with a comparison function with the results of previous quarters. Users will also be able to analyze their estimates and use graphs to track trends over a given period. At the same time, neither students nor parents will be able to compare grades with other students in the class. The team of sociology students believes that such a comparison has a negative impact on the development of a child and contributes to the emergence of stressful conditions.

"The initial version of the educational platform was an exclusively electronic educational resource with textbooks, manuals and scientific materials. However, after we started to accelerate this idea and add new features and capabilities, we realized that it could be useful for both schoolchildren and teachers," Ivan Serbin shared the history of the project development.

Any invention has the task of saving energy. The educational platform adheres to the same principles. So, the platform is designed to make it easier for teachers and for schoolchildren to learn. "The amount of information consumed on the one hand and on the other side of the educational process is quite large. Our task is to make life easier for all participants of the training and give them a convenient, lightweight tool," explained Anastasia Bondarenko.

The educational platform has great prospects, since there are no such large-scale and multitasking Internet products in Russia yet. There are only disparate platforms that perform a purely single task – preparing for the Unified State Exam, testing or grading. Students of the Faculty of Sociology strive to cover all areas of the educational process and make the electronic educational platform for schools as comfortable as possible, and most importantly, effective.
