The conference is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Dmitry Usanov, Chair of the Department of Solid Body Physics, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, and Honoured Scientist of the Russian Federation.

The audience will be greeted by SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko, Minister of Industry and Energy of Saratov Region Mikhail Torgashin, Minister of Education of Saratov Region Mikhail Orlov, Director of the Kotelnikov Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics, the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Nikitov, Director General of the research-to-production enterprise “Almaz” Mikhail Apin, Director General of NPP “Almaz-Phazotron” Maksim Shikhalov, Director of the Engels Instrument-Production Association “Signal” Alexander Nikonov, and Director of the Institute of Physics, SSU Sergei Venig.

The seminar will be attended by 236 scientists from 15 cities of Russia and other countries, including 145 young scientists. A total of 96 reports will be presented. Well-known experts in the field of semiconductor, microwave, micro, nano and optoelectronics will give lectures for young researchers, postgraduates and students.

Participants will speak in the sections "Semiconductor micro- and nanoelectronics", "Photonic crystals and metamaterials", "Biomedical systems and technologies", "Solid-state microwave electronics", "Terahertz technologies" and present poster presentations.

The results of their research will be shared by employees of more than 40 universities and research and production enterprises in Russia. Among them are the Institute of Laser and Information Technology Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology, I.M.
