Experts of Your Turn Project Visited SSU and Held Master-Classes

Students of Saratov State University have gathered in the Assembly Hall, Bldg. 10, to meet with the team of the Your Turn project. The students learned about the tracks and events that were planned for the year as part of the project and also participated in master-classes.

Not so long ago, representatives of the 2023 Your Turn all-Russian student project went on a regional tour to tell initiative youth from Russian cities about the third season and the opportunities it could provide them with. In the new season of the Your Turn project, there are innovations – the mentoring system “equal to equal”, new stages of selection in the I Do and I Determine tracks, the Club of Millionaire Winners entitled SunRise, the system of individual production, and the marathon of changes entitled The League of the Future. Students.

‘Here you will find out what opportunities you, students in Saratov, have! And you will also learn how to make use of your free time for yourself, for students like you, for your university and region, and maybe for the whole country. Our project is changing, and you should be aware of these changes,’ Roman Beskayev, the host of the event, an expert of Your Turn, announced from the stage.

Another presenter Anatolii Pouyosov commented on the I Do and I Define tracks. According to him, it is suitable both for those who like to work in a team, and for those who are used to relying on their own strength and acting individually. The main value of these tracks is that you can use them to show your talents. In addition, the speaker explained the mentoring system, which implies the interaction of two students in different roles – Mentor and Telemachus, the student. This cooperation helps succeed in various fields and become the best version of yourself.

The ambassador of the top-5 contests of the Your Turn project, Justina Safronova, spoke to the audience, she explained what wide opportunities participation in the events of the project gives and wished good luck to everyone who started the I Do track.

There is a regional team in every city of the country, its members develop managerial skills. The Saratov Region team was represented by Deputy Coordinator of the Your Turn regional team Sofia Nesmeyanova.

The final presentation was a quiz. Those gathered in the hall competed in speed, answering questions about the work of the Your Turn project, and won some merch – a hoodie, a T-shirt, and a cardholder.

Svetlana Zemtsova, a student of the Institute of Arts, who tool the third place in the quiz, shared her impressions about the event. ‘I learned about the Your Turn project long ago, but I did not know how to show myself or find a team. And I am also very glad that I went to this event, saw experts who travel all over Russia and talk about the promoting opportunities for modern youth.’

The second part of the event was devoted to master-classes. So, in Room 315, Bldg. 8, Sofia Nesmeyanova and Justina Safronova told students about three-month internships in the Your Turn project, as well as in the projects of general partners – Russian Railways and Norilsk Nickel. Then, the presenters asked the students to divide into teams and come up with an idea of the project. After presentations, the hosts highlighted the positive and negative sides of the projects.

Another master-class was conducted by a project manager of the Office of Programme Implementation of the Your Turn project Daria Osipova. She announced the deadline for applying to the I Do track. Daria drew attention to the fact that the project should not only be interesting for the team, but also useful for society.

In addition, the host discussed with the participants the obstacles which may influence their work, for example, laziness, fear of internal disagreements in the team, lack of funds for the implementation of the project, impostor syndrome, perfectionism, etc.
