This is a holiday of those who make an invaluable contribution to discoveries and developments, who are involved in creating the intellectual potential of our country. Thanks to your daily work, the power and independence of the entire state is growing, and its citizens receive comfortable conditions for life and professional activity.
The Decade of Science and Technology announced by President Vladimir Putin continues. For the second year, Saratov State University has been implementing the key objectives of the Priority 2030 university support programme. Leading specialists are implementing SSU five strategic projects –Technologies, ICT-Electronics, Chemistry and New Materials, Digital University, and Teachers in the Educational Paradigm. All the announced projects meet the requirements of the region and the tasks of the federal level.
SSU reseachers successfully implement their ideas, come up with new developments, maintaining the high status of the university scientific schools. Our world-renowned scientists work in modern laboratories together with young promising and talented researchers.
The university preserves traditions, enriching them with innovative approaches. The names of those who work daily in departments, laboratories, and research centres are well-known to the professional community. They receive high awards and titles, win competitions, and students win scholarship programmes.
It is pleasant to note that the number of young scientists in SSU is growing. According to the results of the past year, 116 projects of young researchers of the university received financial support, including 8 grants of the President of the Russian Federation for young researchers with PhD, 16 scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation to young scientists and postgraduates, and 55 projects of Russian Science Foundation.
On this wonderful day, I wish all of us not to stop, continue our research, set new tasks for ourselves, and successfully implement them. Fruitful work, high results, and well-deserved awards!
