Saratov University has been chosen as one of 200 universities and will continue implementing the Employment Promotion federal project.

Since 2021, the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, SSU, has been providing free additional professional education and professional training to those who are looking for work and have applied to the employment service, including the unemployed. People aged 50 and older, people of pre-retirement age, women on parental leave (under the age of three of their children) and unemployed mothers with pre-school children, as well as young people under 35 have the opportunity to study.

The most popular professional re-training and advanced training courses are: state and municipal procurement management, accounting, Internet-marketing, logistics management, lean manufacturing, labour protection, psychology, and pedagogy.

It is important to note that the project is aimed not only at educating citizens, but also at their subsequent employment. Saratov University has succeeded in this work and has become the best in the country in terms of the number of employed citizens who have been trained under the Employment Promotion project. The university succeeded in it in 2021 and 2022, and SSU was marked by the letters of appreciation of the federal operator of the project – the rector of Tomsk State University.

This year, residents of Saratov Region will be able to take 10 free training courses at the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, SSU. It is planned to broaden this list later. The relevant information is posted on the Work in Russia website.

To remind, in 2021, we started implementing the Employment Promotion project as an integral part of the Demography national project. Training helps citizens improve their qualifications and demand in the labour market by changing their profession or opening their own business. The project is supervised by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
