SSU Staff Learns Effective Media Promotion at Sirius University

The delegation of Saratov State University started taking a re-training course on effective media promotion of research-to-education organisations. The internship is organised due to the Priority 2030 programme, and it will last from December 6 to December 9.

The delegation includes heads of educational and structural divisions responsible for working with applicants at faculties and institutes, employees of structural divisions. The four-day program includes lectures and project work. It should be noted that the internship was developed by the Sirius University team specifically for Saratov University.

On December 6, participants were taught how to build scientific communication, use tools and opportunities for conducting entrance tests in an online format, and work with the applications.

At the lecture – Scientific communications. Why talk about science? – Head of the Media Office at Sirius University Maria Alisova spoke about scientific news and the interaction of scientists with journalists.

An SSU graduate, the ex-deputy head of the SSU Central Admissions Committee, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of Sirius University Oleg Astakhov emphasized successful remote tools for attracting applicants and shared his experience of conducting the admission campaign of Sirius University.

The content manager of the Sirius University website, Svetlana Krishchenko, told them about the ways of effective communication with applicants. She focused on communication channels, “friendly"-language, communication with the target audience.

After a series of lectures, an introductory tour of the Sirius Science and Art Park was held for the listeners of the program. Recall that one of the youngest universities in the country, Sirius University is located on the federal territory of Sirius. The structure of the university includes 5 research centres. Education is based on a modular system with the involvement of leading experts and scientists in Russia.
