Dmitrii Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, joined the participants of the forum in a video message. He marked that the Cabinet of Ministers for the first time had assigned priorities to all budget expenditures on civil science. The examination and prioritisation of all state tasks was carried out – this is more than 12 thousand scientific topics.

At the forum, the national awards of the Russian Professorial Assembly are traditionally presented. This year, Professor of the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Chemical Ecology, SSU, Sergei Shtykov became the winner of the Professor of the Year 2022 national award in the Chemistry nomination.
