Saratov University has a representative office on popular social networks, video hosting, and messengers. Every day, SSU journalists report about the events taking place at the university and its educational units, and students talk about student life in projects, podcasts, and VKontakte clips.
Now, the SSU official accounts operate on five platforms for communication and watching videos – VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Telegram, Yandex.Zen, and Rutube. Each social network has its own characteristics that journalists use to make diverse and unique content.
An important component of the university groups and channels are subscribers, their number and interest in publications that appear on the SSU community wall. Due to the activity of the audience, journalists can understand which format of presenting information is the most attractive to subscribers. Readers mark their favourite posts with likes, classes, reactions, comments, and reposts. The total number of all feedback has a beneficial effect on the status of the university. Every month, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Russia issues a ranking of media activity of universities. M-Rate allows you to observe the effectiveness of universities in the three media areas: working with the media, with the audience in groups and channels on all social networks, as well as with your own websites.
To help SSU become one of the best universities in the country in terms of media activity, you can subscribe to the official communities and channels of the university. We tell you how to do this on the page of the Social Media Office on the SSU website.
