Saratov Region Won Grand-Prix of At the Top All-Russian Festival

The closing ceremony of the I All-Russian Creative Festival of Working Youth titled At the Top took place in Stavropol. In the overall scoring, Saratov Region received the Grand Prix. The members of the SSU Student Club also contributed to the victory of the regional team.

Saratov University was represented by the ArT-mix modern choreography group, undergraduates, and graduates. They successfully demonstrated their talents and were given valuable awards of the festival.

It is worth noting that teams from 60 Russian regions competed for the right to be considered the best in numerous nominations.

In the dancing direction, the winner of the second degree in the Pop Dance nomination was a member of the ArT-mix dancing group, a graduate of the Institute of Arts Christina Voropayeva. She performed a dance titled On behalf of Birds. Kristina's enchanting performance was accompanied by a thunderous ovation from the audience.

A member of the ArT-mix group, an undergraduate of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Marina Ivanova showed the national-featured Bashkir dance titled The Invitation, for which she took the second place in the Folk Dance nomination. Marina's performance was highly appreciated by the jury for creativity and originality.

The third place in the same nomination was awarded to the following members of the ArT-mix – Veronika Belyakova, an undergraduate of the Institute of Arts, Lyubov Evseyeva, a graduate of SSU, Daria Shumarina, a student of the Institute of Physics – for the Finnish dance titled The Merry Virtanens. Inspiring choreographic performances by students of Saratov University were also dynamic and joyful.

The Through play won in the Vaudeville Theatre. Plastic Theatre nomination. It was performed by an undergraduate of the Institute of Arts Diana Vaylova. A graduate of the master's degree of the Faculty of Sociology, a participant of the Paribashte drama club Julia Martynenko became the best in the Clowns nomination. The unforgettable performance of the creative groups made every participant of the ceremony elated.

The Governor of Saratov region Roman Busargin congratulated the Saratov team on the Grand Prix. ‘I wish each of you success and prosperity at work, at home, and in creativity. You are the best!’

80 honoured guests and jury members evaluated the performances and shared their experience: a choreographer Egor Druzhinin, President of the Russian Association of Illusionists Dmitrii Chirikov, Assistant of Arts Director of the Moscow Art Theatre Nikolai Skorik, Professor of Shchukin Institute Alexandra Summ, a vocal teacher of popular TV shows Marina Polteva, President of the Foundation for the Support and Development of Contemporary Art Dmitrii Levochkin, and many other well-known experts.

After the awarding ceremony, the audience enjoyed a concert with Russian pop stars – Leonid Agutin, Niletto, and the Lube band. The festival was attended by 2,500 people from 18 to 35 years old, including participants and volunteers from all over the country.

The members of the festival visited cultural, leisure, and educational programmes, as well as alternative venues. Special attention of the guests was paid to the business forum of bloggers of the South of Russia and the TopBLOG of North Caucasus. It included lectures, dialogues, workshops and master classes on content creation, as well as trends and innovations in the field of social media.

Mikhail Makhortov, an undergraduate of the Institute of Physics, spoke about the benefits of the business forum. ‘The topics of the master classes and lectures were very interesting and dedicated to. We were told how to conduct social networks properly, which method is better to choose for your target audience. We learned how to make a content plan correctly. It is important that the interests of the participants were focused both on marketing and business, as well as on the entertainment industry and music. At the forum, I listened to a series of lectures, gained a lot of new knowledge, and got acquainted with active participants of the forum from all over Russia.’

The organisers of the festival were the government of Stavropol Krai, the Russian Youth Union, Rosmolodezh, and the Russia – A country of Opportunities platform.
