The Speech Genres journal has taken the best position among scientific publications of Saratov University in the ranking of Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). At the moment, it is holding the third place in the Linguistics group, which includes 143 journals, and the 190th place (out of 4,207) in the overall SCIENCE INDEX ranking. In 2020, the journal took the 28th position in the ranking and the 926th post overall. Thus, the RSCI impact factor, as well as the number of citations of research papers in the journal in recent years, have been steadily growing.

Such a significant increase in indicators is the result of the active work of the editorial board of the journal together with the Publishing Office and the Division of Scientific Periodical and Continuing Publications, SSU. In recent years, the journal has entered such international databases as Scopus, ERICH PLUS, and DOAJ. A new website with an electronic edition has been created for the journal.

According to the 2021 bibliometric indicator ranking of Russian journals made by RSCI, scientific journals of Saratov University have showed good results in the overall ranking.

RSCI is a national bibliographic database of scientific citations more than 12 million publications by Russian authors, as well as citation index of these publications from more than 6,000 Russian journals included into it. It provides research with up-to-date reference and bibliographic information and is a powerful analytical tool. RSCI allows to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of research organisations, scientists, the level of scientific journals, etc.
