The SSU Boiling Point Centre has won in the competition, gaining a grant to develop the Business Boiling Point. At the next stage, in September, the organiser of the competition, INPO NTI Platform, will sign grant agreements with the winners. The universities-winners will start implementing programmes to develop and maintain Business Boiling Points. They will appear in 42 Russian regions and cover all federal districts of the country.

The competition is part of the Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship federal project aimed at reveal the entrepreneurial potential of young people and training professionals in technological entrepreneurship. In total, there are 60 Russian universities in the winners’ list.

The purpose of the competition is not only to find young people with ideas for creating business plans, training qualified personnel, and developing youth entrepreneurship, but also to ensure economic security and achieve technological sovereignty of the country.

The opening of the Business Boiling Point at Saratov University will mark the beginning of work in new directions – the application of high-tech ideas developed by SSU students and staff.

The grant will be used to open two more offices on campus. We will purchase modern presentation equipment, office equipment, comfortable chairs for holding events for meetings with investors and the expert community for the Business Boiling Point.

There students will have an opportunity to present their course and graduation papers under the Start-Up as a Diploma programme. According to Head of the SSU Boiling Point Centre Andrei Rytik, the Business Boiling Point will allow students to improve their skills and strengthen their projects directly in business terms. In addition, students who have not chosen the Start-Up as a Diploma form can offer their ideas of projects and business plans that they want to implement. At the Business Boiling Point, they will have a chance to test their business hypotheses, attract mentors, investors, and the expert community.

‘The Business Boiling Point is an opportunity for our students to show their applied projects, demonstrate their scientific developments and, already as students, begin to engage in entrepreneurship. Moreover, each student will be able to express themselves in business. And after graduation, they can start their own company,’ Andrei Rytik said.
