The day, which more than 10 thousand eleventh graders were waiting for, was a bright end to their school life. On June 25, a festival for high school graduates of Saratov Region titled the 2022 Wind Rose was held at Theatre Square. Those hours became a symbol not only of the ending of their studies, but also of the new horizons that the coming student years would open before them.

The event participants did not spare themselves. They took part in friendly round dances, dancing “snakes” in the crowd and switchedon thousands of flashlights during the performances of the headlining vocalists.

At 8 p.m., happy holders of high school certificates began to gather at Theatre Square – elegant girls and sociable boys. 45 SSU students were among the volunteers of such a large-scale event. They helped organising the festival, supervised the high school graduates, and tried to make everyone remember that evening forever.

The holiday officially started at 9 p.m. The presenters Pavel Olenchenko (DEKKER) and Kirill Pravkin began by warming up the audience, and after half an hour a theatrical performance where Saratov creative groups also participated began. The KNFAM dance group of Saratov University went to the stage to cheer the event members up and give them an opportunity to feel the atmosphere of happy carelessness and anticipation of new student horizons!

The national anthem of the Russian Federation was performed by the creative youth of Saratov, the whole Theatre Square sang along with it. After that, Acting Governor of Saratov Region Roman Busargin took the stage.

‘I congratulate you all on graduation! Today, every 15th Saratov resident is a student. There is no such thing in any city of Volga Region, therefore, Saratov is the capital of students,’ he addressed to the graduates and wished everyone to move only forward.

‘The event itself was wonderful, it brought me even closer to people I have known for a long time. The Wind Rose really unites, and it is cool! Now I plan to enter SSU, the Institute of Philology and Journalism, I cannot wait for it!’ Misak Petrosyan, a graduate of the Elshanka village school, said.

Ivan Emelyanov, a graduate of Lyceum No. 53, also shared his thoughts. ‘The presentation of certificates was held, the Wind Rose was held. I liked everything, it was very cool. I want to enroll to the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, SSU, the course in applied computer science. I think, after such saying ‘good-bye’ to my school life, I will definitely succeed!’

Nikita Kyosse, Nebezao, and Dana Sokolova were the headliners of the event. During the last performance, a firework thundered, covering the entire sky over Theatre Square.

We remind you that the SSU admission offices have been working for a week. You can submit documents in person, by post, or with the help of the Admission to University superservice.
