SSU Joined Consortium on Personality Potential Development in Education

At the fourth meeting of the Council of the Personality Potential Development in Education Consortium, which took place on May 17, it was decided to include SSU into the list of participants.

The Personality Potential Development in Education Consortium was established by the leading pedagogical universities of the Russian Federation in 2020. It is supported by the Sberbank Charitable Foundation “Investment to the Future” and aimed at conducting joint research, develop and use methods set to develop personality potential in the education system.

The key areas of cooperation between the Consortium members include:

- launch of the research master's course on the personal potential development in education: personalisation and digitalisation;

- development and implementation of new educational products related to the development of personality potential for students and teaching staff of universities-members of the Consortium;

- systematisation, accumulation, and augmenting of scientific knowledge in the development of the personality potential of children and teachers;

- support for publication activity, including partnership with the Education Quality Management: Theory and Practice of Effective Administration journal;

- stimulating the exchange of ideas and experience, replicating and facilitating the distribution of successful methods, including through an innovative belt of 15 schools and kindergartens established to test the developments of the fund.

‘The Members of the Council have unanimously approved the inclusion of four new universities in the Consortium: Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University; Murmansk Arctic State University; Samara State University of Social Sciences and Education; Saratov State University. Thus, today the Personality Potential Development Consortium, in addition to the Charitable Foundation “Investment to the Future”, already includes 20 classical and pedagogical universities from 19 regions of Russia,’ Professor Elena Kazakova, the Chair of the Council, a member of the Expert and Strategic Council of the Sberbank Charitable Foundation “Investment to the Future” summed up the voting results.

For SSU, this project is a logical continuation of the affairs that have been carried out for many years in teacher education. Due to the participation in the Consortium, we will become one of the productive professional sites where educational issues, emerging challenges, successful methods will be discussed – everything that will become a vector of constructive changes in teacher education and improve the quality of training for the education system of the 21st century.

In cooperation with other universities of the country, the teaching staff of our university will be able to develop academic mobility of students, conduct networking events for staff and students, create and distribute new educational products, best teaching and research methods used for student-centred education.
