Today the all-time director of the SSU Student Club celebrates his 80th anniversary.
Mark Pinkhasik has long become a symbolic person, a legendary person, whose good fame spread not only throughout the country, but all over the world. It was he who inspired his team, running in agitation trains and performing at all-Union, All-Russian, and international festivals. It is in his office that students are always welcome. It is he who skillfully supports young talents, knows how to cheer them up in time, console them or set them up for a successful performance. Mark Pinkhasik has an exceptional talent for gathering extraordinary people around him: sometimes difficult, with an attitude but always with a big heart, with love for Art and Stage. And this love always accompanies them, they remember rehearsals, concerts, skits, and gatherings with Mark Pinkhasik – the soul of the Student Club.
He is a wise manager, strategist, and diplomat. He manages to turn in the right direction a complex and sometimes defying logic force – creativity. Numerous victories at all-Russian and international competitions, sold-out concerts, rehearsals until late at night: the SSU Culture Club lives its own distinctive bright life and has long become the second home for many university people, and Mark Pinkhasik is their mentor and friend.
Symbolically, we are also celebrating the anniversary of the Student Club this academic year. Again, we admire creative groups, admire their mentors, and understand that the main cementing force behind this work is Mark Pinkhasik. You can recall the numerous events in the SSU cultural life with the help of the SGUshchyonka special issue and The Club of Eternal Youth book, which was supervised by Mark Pinkhasik.
In one of the archival photographs that appeared on the pages of all anniversary publications about the Student Club, Mark Pinkhasik is sitting with a phone receiver. And this is perhaps a good symbol of his work: he knows how to listen and hear. Surely, today his phone does not go off for a minute: graduates to whom he has given a creative ticket to the world of art, colleagues, friends, students – hundreds of people keep good memories of the House created and developed by Mark Pinkhasik – the Club of eternal youth!
