160 Students Received Camp Counsellor Certificates in SSU

At Saratov University, students completed their course and received the certificates of specialists involved in organising the activities of children (counsellors).

For two months, in November and December, students from SSU, SSTU, SSMU, PIM, and Regional Pedagogical College studied at the Institute of Continuing Professional Education, Saratov University.

The lectures were delivered by Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Education Methodology Olga Kozlova, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Psychology of Education and Development Tatyana Fadeyeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Natalia Kurchatova, and Assistant of the Department of Youth Sociology Georgii Bolotov.

The participants of the vocational training programme learned how to work with children in a country camp, they found out about the psychology of communication and developmental psychology, professional competencies, and regulatory aspects. At the end of the course, the future counsellors took part in a professional and creative workshop. Each student was able to master the knowledge and skills necessary to work in a children camp.

160 students from Saratov completed the course and received professional education to work with children’s groups. The certificates of the established form were given on December 27 in SSU Bldg. X.

To remind, the project for vocational training of student teams was initiated by the Russian Student Brigades youth all-Russian public organisation (RSB) together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Saratov University has become one of 17 venues in the country which were chosen to implement this project.
