The section of the NAUKA 0+ All-Russian Research Festival has started working on the Saratov University website. It presents the activities that the university has prepared for everyone who is interested in science, regardless of age.

SSU is to participate in the project for the third time. This year, due to the current epidemiological situation, the festival at the university is organised online. In the NAUKA 0+ section you can find out which programmes are used to train specialists at the university, get acquainted with the innovative developments of university researchers, and see various laboratories and exhibitions.

The festival includes video presentations of 17 institutes and faculties of the university: the Faculties of Biology, Economics, Law, Philosophy, Geography, Geology, and Sociology; the Institutes of Arts, Philology and Journalism, History and International Relations, Chemistry, Physics, the Faculties of Foreign Languages and Language Teaching Methods, Psychology, Pedagogical and Special Needs Education, and the Scientific Library, SSU.

In addition, the site contains the digest with links to the NAUKA 0+ Research Festival official site. Using it, anyone can find out who “people of science” are, visit a hypermuseum, conduct an experiment in a virtual laboratory, and take part in competitions.

The All-Russian festival is designed for broad public use. The purpose of the events is to explain in simple terms what scientists do, how research improves the quality of life, what prospects it opens up to modern people. The research festivals in Russia were initiated by Lomonosov Moscow State University. Since 2011, they have been held under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
