SSU researchers have an access to unique analytical tools, InCites, for assessing the research results based on the Web of Science data. As part of the Priority 2030 programme, SSU for the first time got an access to use the powerful Clarivate InCites analytical tools based on the Web of Science data.
The tools make it possible to provide information support for research at the level of the world leading universities. InCites is of particular interest to young scientists who would like to compare their research with the research of leading research schools in the relevant areas, find directions for promising research, and identify opportunities for further cooperation with domestic and foreign organisations.
InCites is not included in the national subscription; a very limited number of Russian universities has an access to the InCites analytical tools. The InCites package includes:
Incites Benchmarking & Analytics is a scientometrics tool used to analyse the research results, identify current trends and promising research areas, compare the productivity of various scientific groups. and solve other analytical issues.
Journal Citation Reports is an authoritative database containing a wide range of scientometrics indicators for journals. Using this database you can compare various journals, select journals to publish your research results, find out the impact factor of a specific journal, assess the dynamics of development of both a specific journal and groups of journals in various areas.
Essential Science Indicators, the database of the main scientific indicators, contains information about new research trends, the most authoritative researchers, organisations, and journals in various areas. Key scientific indicators are updated every two months and are based on the analysis of more than 12 million articles from 12 thousand authoritative research journals included into the Web of Science. You can use InCites either from SSU or at home until December 1, 2022. To work with InCites, you need to go through a one-time personal registration in Web of Science from any computer at SSU.
On December 14, 2021, Clarivate is hosting a free webinar called the InCites: New Features and New Opportunities. Registration for this and other Clarivate webinars is open on the dedicated page.
We invite all researchers to take full advantage of the unique opportunities provided by the Priority 2030 programme.
