I would like the ideas that originated in your minds to be implemented in our city. And while not everything is in monetary terms, encouraging effort is extremely important, especially when you are young. We will continue to support you,’ Mayor of the Saratov City municipality Mikhail Isayev pointed out addressing the participants of the ceremony.

Mikhail Isayev highly appreciated the achievements of the prize winners and said that he had given instructions to increase the prize fund for the next year at least twice.

On behalf of Saratov University, SSU Rector Aleksei Chumachenko congratulated the winners. In his speech, he noted, “You have greatly participated in many city and the region projects, you have many different prizes, however, I am sure that this very prize received from the hands of the city mayor will remain in the memory forever. Winning such an award at your age is the best motivation for future achievements.’

Victoria Shobonova spoke in response on behalf of the award winners. She thanked the mayor for the attention shown to talented youth.

‘While studying at the university, we have worked in different areas and coped with the most unexpected tasks but the most difficult period for us was during 2020, which was the peak of the pandemic. Our team joined the We Are Together project, volunteers helped SSU professors and elderly university employees. Together with the city administration and the Civic Chamber, we took care of veterans, low-income families, and large families. Your support is very important to us, we would hardly implement our initiatives without it.’
