Saratov Region Won Grand-Prix of Russian Student Spring Contest for Second Year in a Row

For the second year in a row, Saratov Region won the Grand Prix in the team competition of the Russian Student Spring Festival. This year the festival has brought together more than 3500 participants from 75 Russian regions. For three days, 10 competition venues of the festival were in Nizhny Novgorod, they were visited by almost 100 thousand people. The festival was attended by 1,246 entries, which became an absolute record for the 29 years history of the festival.

Saratov students won in such sections as the Art, the Video, and the Instrumental Section. But the most important thing is the victory in the team classification, which confirmed that the most creative students of the country study in Saratov! Slightly lower in the final protocol are teams from other regions: the 1st place – Kemerovo Region, the 2nd place – the Republic of Tatarstan, and the 3rd place – Perm Krai.

The victory of Saratov Region became known on May 19, when there took place the solemn closing ceremony of the XXIX All-Russian Russian Student Spring Festival – a joint project of the Russian Union of Youth and the Russia – the Land of Opportunities platform. Two regions out of 75 participating (Saratov Region and the Chuvash Republic) showed themselves in a record number of nominations – 40.

The winners of the Grand Prix in the competition sections of the festival were representatives of Saratov Region: Georgii Dorodnov in the Instrumental Section with Etude Op. 2 No. 1 in D minor, Kirill Gerasimov in the Video nomination with the Our Time project, and Polina Karpukhina in the Art nomination with the Mother Volga project.

The SSU students made their important contribution to the victory of the Saratov delegation:

Artur Airapetyan (the Faculty of Biology) – the 2nd place in the Scientific Slam nomination, participation in the programme;

Vladislav Kovalenko (the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics) – participation in the Conversational genre. Poetry nomination, participation in the programme;

Victoria Kolesnikova (the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Language Teaching Methods) - participation in the programme, the I degree diploma in the Formation nomination as part of the Dance Class group;

Mikhail Makhortov (the Institute of Physics) – special prize in the Scientific Slam nomination;

Ivan Yunev (Geology College) – the III degree diploma in the Street Dance category as part of the Grove masta group, participation in the programme;

Anton Gladyshev (the Faculty of Philosophy) – the III degree diploma in the Beatbox nomination.
