On Wednesday, March 24, as part of the VIII Week of Teacher Education, the University hosted the annual Pedagogy Olympiad titled The Matrix of Opportunities for the Pupil and Teacher in the Digital Environment. It was traditionally organized by the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Psychology.
On the opening of the annual marathon, the guests and participants were congratulated by Head of Priority Projects and Programmes Elena Yelina. “Our Week of Teacher Education was born many years ago. Its organization is attended by like-minded people, people who understand that our pedagogical education needs new forms and a new embodiment. I am pleased to realize that this team included representatives of various faculties and institutes of the university. These are people who work with future teachers who want the new school to flourish, those who dream of giving a new impetus to all those matters and concerns that plague us. "
Elena Genrikhovna remembered a television story in which school students were asked how they remembered September 1 in grade 1. It was known from the weather reports that the day was gloomy and rainy. And all the children, without exception, talked about how sunny and beautiful it was. “We, as teachers, understand that the sun is always in our souls, and today I wish you sunny, bright performances and victories,” concluded Elena Genrikhovna.
This year, the teams of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technologies, the Faculty of Biology, the Institute of History and International Relations, Balashov Institute, the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Language Teaching Methods, the Institute of Philology and Journalism, and the Faculty of Pedagogical and Special Needs Education became participants in the creative competition. In the individual competition for the championship, undergraduates from four faculties and institutes fought: Daria Nebritova (IIiMO), Pavel Shlyupkin (faculty of KNiIT), Anastasia Belousova (faculty of PPiSO), Bogdan Nazarov (faculty of psychology).
The event was held by Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Natalia Kurchatova and assistant of the department Maria Bratashova. Assistance in organizing the Olympiad was provided by Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Educational Technologies Marina Khramova. The performances of the jury members were assessed under the chairmanship of Associate Professor of the Department of Material Sciences and Technologies and Quality Management, the Institute of Physics, Head of the Microelectronics Laboratory, and CDO Programme Director Dennis Terin. The jury included: Deputy Director for ICT Boarding Lyceum No. 64 D.N. Deryugin, teacher of computer science and ICT at gymnasium No. 3, honored teacher of the Russian Federation M.P. Vishnevskaya, teacher of informatics at school No. 9 of Engels MR A.A. Kharchenko.
The first task of the contestants before the start of the Olympiad was the preparation of a video clip on the topic “New professions - new conditions - new environment”. In the works, students had to substantiate the relevance of their subjects in the professions of the future. The finished videos were posted on the Internet. For two days before the start of the competition in the group of the Olympiad in the social network "VKontakte" voting was going on. The geography of fans turned out to be quite extensive, residents of Moscow, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Yaroslavl, Lipetsk, Minsk, Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, cities of the Saratov region, etc.
The second competition of the Olympiad was also homework - “Create your own number”. The teams were asked to create a digital resource and justify its feasibility and effectiveness. It had to be placed on the Internet without limited access. Within the framework of the Olympiad, the participants presented their developments to the jury members.
At the third stage, the teams were asked to find options for solving pedagogical situations that may arise in the process of pedagogical activity. In the fourth bachelor's competition "Actual question", teams were asked to answer questions on the materials of the speeches of the speakers of the plenary session of the VIII Week of Pedagogical Education.
During the Olympiad, undergraduates had to cope with two tasks. Participants were asked to bring the content of the article proposed by the organizers of the competition in line with the requirements in 1.5 hours. At the second stage, the contestants had to analyze how the digitalization of society affects modern pedagogical research.
Before the results of the Olympiad were announced, warm greetings were heard from the invited experts. “Thanks to the teaching staff of the university and the guys for the pleasure they have given. Digital transformation is a necessary and irreversible process. But the main thing in the educational environment should still be the child. Do not forget about the generosity of the soul and continue to give knowledge to the young generation. Their and our future depends on this, ”she said. Vishnevskaya.
Letters of thanks from the organizers of the Olympiad were presented to the jury by Chair of the Department of Pedagogy Ekaterina Balakireva. She wished the participants and team leaders success in their teaching activities.
According to the results of assessments, Anastasia Belousova and Bogdan Nazarov were awarded the third place among the undergraduates. Pavel Shlyupkin received the II degree diploma. Daria Nebritova became the owner of the 1st degree diploma. The main award for the bachelors went to the team of the Balashov Institute of SSU, the second place went to the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technologies, and the third place went to the students of the Institute of Philology and Journalism. The People's Choice Award based on the results of the Internet voting was received by the team of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, and the participants also won - diplomas, certificates and mementos from the organizing committee of the "Week of Pedagogical Education".
“Since I recently entered the university, the competition turned out to be useful and interesting for me. There were many impressions and expectations. Our team consisted of students from different faculties, but nevertheless it was very comfortable for everyone to work together.
