SSU has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saratov Region Institute of Education Development. The meeting of the heads of the institutions took place on March 17. Saratov University was represented by Rector Aleskei Chumachenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii, Head of Priority Projects and Programems Elena Yelina, Director of the Institute of Continuing Professional Education Yurii Golub, and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko.
Before proceeding to sign the official document, A.N. Chumachenko noted that the joint work of SSU and SOIRO has been going on for many years and is of great importance for the development of the regional education system. “The conclusion of this agreement will provide a new, even higher level of cooperation in the implementation of educational projects and programs,” stressed Alexey Nikolaevich.
Rector SOIRO V.P. Zhukovsky drew the attention of his colleagues to the growth prospects that are opening up for two organizations that have decided to join forces in a common cause, aimed at creating all the necessary conditions for the comfortable implementation of advanced digital technologies in the learning process.
During the discussion of the basic principles of the upcoming cooperation, Professor E.G. Elina said that in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science, the university is creating an innovative platform to support young teachers. In this matter, cooperation between SSU and SOIRO could bring interesting results. Elena Genrikhovna announced the opening of the VIII Week of Pedagogical Education at SSU, dedicated to the use of computer technologies in teaching, and invited Vladimir Petrovich to the plenary session of the scientific and educational festival, which will be held on March 22 in the assembly hall of the X building.
The head of SOIRO informed his colleagues about the development of a new regional program to overcome the shortage of teaching staff and invited SSU to take part in its implementation.
The results of the meeting were summed up by Professor Yu.G. Golub. He spoke about the long history of joint activities of Saratov State University and the regional institute for the development of education, noting the positive dynamics of the development of these business relations, in particular, in matters related to professional development and retraining of teachers. According to him, the conclusion of a new agreement will accelerate the processes associated with the modernization of education in the region.
