The students of Saratov University have won the contest for personal scholarships. The competition was held by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. The number of applicants whose achievements were noted by the jury included: Master’s students of the Institute of Physics Herman Guyo and Nadezhda Svetlitsyna, a student of the Institute of Philology and Journalism Elena Malashenkova, a student of the Faculty of Sociology Anton Nerush, a student of the Faculty of Philosophy Maria Makhova, and a student of the Faculty of Geography Anastasia Spiryakhina. The reserve list of winners includes Elena Konstantinova, a Master’s student of the Faculty of Psychology.
It should be noted that the jury considered the academic, intellectual, creative, and leadership potential of the applicants. Also, they took into account the motivation of Master’s students for development, their social activity, and their research results.
The main task of the competition, which is a part of the Vladimir Potanin scholarship programme, is to encourage Master’s students with special achievements in studies, science, and creativity. Until they graduate from the master’s courses, 750 winners of the competition will receive a 25 thousand rubles monthly.
