Minister of Science and Higher Education Valerii Falkov Congratulated Universities on New Year

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valerii Falkov recorded a New Year video message in which he congratulated students and professors on the coming year 2021.

‘For people who have not ceased to be children in their hearts New Year is always a special holiday, a time of joy and optimistic plans. May the most cherished dreams come true in the coming year. May our dear people be happy and healthy, and there will be love and harmony in their homes,’ the minister wished the Russians.

‘Over the past 12 months, we have greatly changed the usual way of life and at an accelerated pace switched to digital rails. Today we can already work and study without leaving our homes, but the main feature of the outgoing year was that each of us had an opportunity to prove ourselves. Our scientists have made history by creating the first coronavirus vaccine in the world. Professors and students have found thousands of effective ways to interact without being personally present at the university,’ he pointed out.

Valerii Falkov underlined the importance volunteer students. According to him, due to their kindness, responsiveness and desire to help others, this year has gone easier and better for many people.

‘For everyone whose work is connected with science, higher education, and advanced technologies this is a year of new prospects and great opportunities,’ the head of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education summed up.
