On 11 December 11, on the eve of the Constitution Day at the Museum of Military and Labour Glory Governor Valerii Radaev presented state awards and standards of the Governor of the region. Among the winners of the award is SSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii.
‘Tomorrow together with the whole country we will celebrate a big public holiday – Constitution Day. It is traditionally timed to award for achievements in various fields. And today in this building which keep the examples of heroism of many generations we will honour the best of the best,’ Valerii Radayev noted.
The governor emphasized that it was the people and the residents of the region who filled each line of the main document with practical meaning.
‘Today in the difficult conditions caused by the pandemic we are proving the relevance of the basic principles of the Constitution. We work to preserve people's life and health, their incomes, and well-being. Doctors are selflessly doing their duty. Teachers master new teaching technologies. Constructors build clinics and medical centres. Volunteers and social workers are on watch. The staff of enterprises and road workers ensure the stability of the economy. Villagers feed us. Military personnel protect the territorial integrity of the country. Science brings the latest developments to the production. The cultural community and veterans defend the historical truth. Public associations retain their national identity. All this as a whole is a solid foundation of the rights and freedoms of citizens.’
For the merits in research and pedagogy activities, training of highly qualified specialists and many years of conscientious work the gratitude of the President of Russia was announced to SSU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii.
‘Saratov University has been preparing highly qualified specialists in various fields for over a century. This is a joint task of all the teaching staff of the university. We look to the future with confidence, mastering new technologies and methods of conducting the educational process. Our main pride is the achievements of our graduates who successfully perform tasks which are aimed at developing the region and the country,’ Igor Malinskii highlighted.
Igor Malinsii graduated from the SSU Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics in 1991. In 1992 he began to work at the Department of Theory of Functions and Approximations. And for 34 years his career has been associated with Saratov University. During this time, he was a senior lecturer at the Department of Theory of Functions and Approximations, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics, Head of the Office of Distance Learning, and the Representative Office.
Today Igor Malinskii is Chair of the Department of Social Informatics, since 2005 he has been holding the position of an SSU vice-rector of and oversees the academic affairs of the university.
