On September 24, Chair of the SSU Sport Club, Associate Professor, Honoured Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Gordeyev celebrates his 75th anniversary.
Vladimir Gordeyev has been working in higher education since 1972: firstly, at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Saratov State Pedagogy Institute (SSPI), since 1974 at the Department of Sports Disciplines of the SSPI Faculty of Physical Training, and at the moment – at the SSU Institute of Sports and Physical Training.
Since 2012, Vladimir Gordeyev has been in charge of the SSU Sport Club. Under his leadership the team of the university students and professors has repeatedly become the winner and prize-winner of all region sports competitions.
For his conscientious work and high professionalism Vladimir Gordeev was awarded with the Badge titled the Excellent Worker of Public Education of the Russian Federation (1992); the Honourary Badge titled the Honoured Worker of Physical Training of the Russian Federation (1996); a letter of appreciation from the Governor of the Saratov Region (2014); a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Youth Policy, Sports, and Tourism of Saratov Region (2015).
Vladimir Gordeyev does a lot as Chair of the Saratov Athletics Federation and Chair of the Saratov Region Athletics Judicial Panel.
