2020 Graduates Can Get Supplementary Education

The graduates of the university and the SSU colleges who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic consequences can take free training courses and acquire additional professional skills demanded by employers in the region.

The following graduates are among the citizens who can apply for educational assistance: those who have lost their jobs after March 1, 2020; those who are at risk of dismissal or work part-time, those who have idle periods at work, those who take unpaid furlough, and those who will be redundant; those who have not found a job in 2020.

The list of specialties that will become available as a part of the educational programme includes: web design and development, veterinary medicine, graphic design, interior design, preschool education, prototyping, CAD engineering design, confectionery, laboratory chemical analysis, hairdressing, printing technologies, development of virtual and augmented reality, development of mobile applications, repair and maintenance of cars, welding technologies, dry construction and plastering, turning on CNC machines, bakery, and operation of agricultural machines.

At the moment the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) agency has identified the training platforms. The regional operator of the programme will be the Saratov College of Architecture and Constructions, and its coordinators will be the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Saratov Region.

At the end of the courses a demo exam will be held which will confirm the level of mastering professional skills. After that course graduates will be given a Skills passport with a profile of professional competencies and a qualification document corresponding to the type of training programme.
