The admission campaign continues at Saratov University. This year it is held online. We accept documents from applicants, including foreign citizens, via the personal account on the SGU.RU web-site in the 2020 Admission or by mail. According to the SSU Central Admission Committee, at the moment 10,697 applications have been submitted for bachelor and specialist state-funded courses. 9,104 people have applied for full-time courses, 1,249 – for off-site courses, and 344 applicants have chosen part-time courses. The average admission rate for the university at that moment is 5.4 people per place.
1,840 enrollees would like to continue their studies, so they have applied to master degree state-funded courses: 1,193 people – for full-time courses, 634 – for off-site courses, and 13 people gave preference to part-time courses. The average admission rate for the university is 2 people per place.
Postgraduate courses as the third level of higher education have been chosen by 105 people, and the admission rate for those state-funded courses is 1.5 people per place.
The College of Radioelectronics have received 951 applications. Schoolchildren have also applied to Geological College in order to get demanded professions: now 857 applications have been submitted there. The average admission rate in both educational institutions is 5 people per place.
“School graduates often make their choice relying on their families and school staff. But the following studying is always determined by a conscious choice based on the experience, the new preferences and targets. And in this case a stable competition rate for master degree and postgraduate courses at Saratov University proves the quality of education at the university and guarantees further career prospects for its graduates,” said Sergei Khmelyov, Head of the SSU Central Admission Committee.
For the past few years many enrollees have applied to the courses in journalism, international relations, and economics. We are glad that more and more people want to become school teachers, chemists, and IT-specialists.
